Update: Armed Robbers Attack Bullion Van in Ibadan, The Idi-Ape/Iwo-Road axis of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital was thrown into a complete panic on Thursday afternoon as a gang of dare devil armed robbers attacked a bullion van.
Residents of the area ran helter-skelter as the gang rained bulletin on the armoured bullion van in their attempt to cart away the content.
However, the gang failed in their mission as they were unsuccessful in breaking the reinforced bullion van.
Speaking to Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko at the scene shortly after the incident, Broadcast Cable Network gathered that police were able to gun down one of the armed robbers, but his colleagues carried his corpse away.

Policemen in the backup vehicle escorting the bullion van shot dead one of the armed robbers, and funy enough the armed robbers took away the corpse of the killed one. That is just the situation now” Commissioner of Police said.
It was also gathered that two police officers were seriously wounded in the gun duel between them and the armed robbers.
However, some eye witnesses said the police officers are dead while others said they were just wounded and taken to a nearby hospital.
