Scores of students of tertiary institutes blocked the popular University of Ibadan-Sango Road in Ibadan.
The road was blocked in the early hours of Monday.
It was gathered that the blockage of the road was due to the ongoing industrial action embarked upon by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The union had been on strike since February this year. This forced commuters plying the University of Ibadan-Sango-Bodija Road to find alternative routes.
The blockage of the road resulted in light traffic along the route.
The students, who described the strike as needless, said that they will continue to occupy the roads if the campuses remained shut.
