The Nation Newspaper correspondent in Osun, Mr Toba Adedeji, has been shot by a police officer.
BCN gathered that Adedeji was shot alongside a female teenager at Olaiya, Osogbo, by overzealous policemen who wanted to disperse a crowd of protesters protesting the killing of one Abiola Afolabi who was killed by police on April 4, 2022.
BCN further reports that the crowd had converged on Olaiya to mourn the passage of Mr Abiola Afolabi who was killed by policemen on April 4, 2022 when police open fire at the crowd to disperse them.
In the process Adedeji and one other were shot.
Afolabi was buried today and his friends held a rally to mourn him.
It was gathered that Adedeji had been rushed to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital for treatment.
