The Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on Monday ordered a review of the appointment of former State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in the State, Gboyega Famodun as the Owa of Igbajo by former governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
The Governor also ordered a review of appointments of some other traditional rulers such as the Akinrun of Ikirun, the Aare of Ire and others.
Governor Adeleke directed, through an Executive Order on Monday that security men should take over the palaces and prevent any occupation pending the resolution of issues around the chieftaincy matters.
There have been violence over the appointment of some new monarchs especially in Ikirun, where the palace was set on fire last Thursday by irate youths.
