“The State Youth Leader can confirm that N2million naira has been credited to his account right now for all of you Senatorial, LG and Ward Youth Leaders by the National Youth Leader”, I said during my official town hall meeting with Lagos APC youth leaders from State to Ward level. This followed a similar gesture by the National Youth Leader to all our youth leaders in Bayelsa state last week. While responding to request by the youth leaders to help them lobby for running cost, I also encouraged them with my personal experience that “I can feel their pain because even I don’t have a running cost, imprest or a budget”, I have to source/lobby for funding internally and externally but I will continue to push for more support for the youth wing of the party from top to bottom to motivate our youth even as we head to the general election”.
