The Speaker House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila says the House may reconvene before the February 25th elections if the central bank of Nigeria fails to address the hardships Nigerians face due to the currency swap.
A statement from the office of the Speaker signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Lanre Lasisi explained that the House would continue to monitor implementation of the policy as agreed during the meeting with the CBN Governor last Tuesday.
Speaking at a town hall meeting with some groups in Lagos, sunday, Gbajabiamila added that President Muhammadu Buhari being a compassionate person, asked for a few more days to look at the situation and that the Presidential candidate of APC Bola Ahmed Tinubu stands with Nigerians in their suffering over the cash swap.
The House had on Tuesday January 31st met with the CBN Governor as it seeks ways to ease the challenges of the cash swap after which it adjourned plenary to 28th of February.
