Manchester United captain Harry Maguire on Friday received a bomb threat at his home after the club’s Europa League exit at the hands of Sevilla.
The defender was guilty for committing the error that lead to Sevilla’s early first goal in the second leg encounter and had been part of the defence that capitulated in the dying minutes of the first leg seven days earlier.
According to Cheshire police, the England international reportedly received the threat at his home but they have swung into action stating that the life of the defender and his family is top priority following the threat.
This is a repeat of a similar threat last season when the former Leicester City player reported a bomb threat on Friday, April 22, 2022 but after a swift response, police reported that nothing was out of place.
Many fans have been calling for the club captain to leave the club by the end of the season because they are not satisfied with his performances.
