The Asiwaju of Iseyin, Chief Festus Olapade Adelabu, has joined his ancestors.
He passed away on May 7th, 2024, at the age of 88, at the Critical Care Unit of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, Lagos.

Chief Adelabu was a respected traditional title holder and a devoted family man.

He was a pillar of his community, known for his wisdom, kindness, and generosity.

In a statement by Tolu Mustapha, Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs to Hon.Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide (Odidiomo) says the demise of Chief Adelabu has left a huge void in the lives of his loved ones, including Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide (Odidiomo), who is mourning the loss of his father-in-law.

Throughout his life, Chief Adelabu was dedicated to the service of his people.

He played a significant role in promoting the cultural heritage of his community and was a strong advocate for education and social welfare.

His passing is a great loss to his family, friends, and the entire community.
He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
