The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Saheed Bankole, has officially commenced the construction of Bankole Agunbiade/Agunbiade Street in Aro Town.
The construction of the road, which spans an impressive length of 450 linear meters, is being undertaken by Babkaz Construction Limited.
The council boss said that this is in tandem with the Lagos State Government administration’s initiative to create milestone infrastructural developments in all the 20 LGs and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) in Lagos State.
He expressed his delight at the commencement of this vital project, emphasising its importance in enhancing connectivity, improving transportation, and uplifting the overall quality of life for residents and businesses in Aro Town and its environs.
Bankole said: “I extend my gratitude to all stakeholders involved in making this project a reality and hereby reaffirm my administration’s dedication to executing more impactful initiatives for the benefit of Eti-Osa Local Government residents.”
A stakeholders meeting was initially held with the residents and stakeholders of Aro town, introducing the contractor to the residents.
The council boss urged the contractors to involve the community in having a stake in the development of their neighbourhood, which he said, will create room for continuous synergy amongst all parties involved.
Members of the community expressed their sincere appreciation to Bankole for his continuous efforts to ensure every citizen enjoys the dividends of democracy.
