Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has expressed a heartfelt of joy over the display of the Lagos youngsters during the opening ceremony of the 8th National Youth Games currently ongoing in Asaba, Delta State.
It was a moment of appreciation and encouragement when Governor, Sanwo-Olu taking to his social media handles to appreciate and commended the team for giving other teams of the Games a good run for their money with the bold statement that they are in Asaba 2024 for a serious business.
The Governor wrote: “Team Lagos made a stunning impression at the opening ceremony of the 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State and I couldn’t be prouder of our under-15 athletes, who captivated everyone with their incredible display that truly represents Lagos’ reputation for finesse, dynamism, and excellence.
“I believe that our team’s excellence will shine through in every sport we participate in at the National Youth Games. I wish all our athletes the best of luck and can’t wait to see the amazing things they accomplish.
