The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe has felicitated the Muslim Ummah in the Local Government, Lagos state and across Nigeria on the occasion of the Eid-el-Maulud 2024.
Barrister Ogunlewe congratulated all Muslims on witnessing the Mawlid, calling on them to pray for Kosofe Local Government, Lagos state and the leadership in Nigeria.
In statement by the chairman, he extends his warm greetings to all Muslims in Kosofe Local Government Area for commemorating the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
“This great day serves as a poignant reminder of the Prophet’s exemplary life, his teachings of compassion, and his unwavering commitment to justice and peace. It is a time for us to reflect on his noble character and strive to emulate his virtues in our daily lives.”
“The Holy Quran reminds us of the significance of the Prophet’s mission in Surah Al-Ahzab, verse 21:
“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often.”
“As we celebrate this day, let us renew our commitment to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Let us embrace the values of kindness, tolerance, and unity that he exemplified throughout his life. In these challenging times, his message of peace and brotherhood is more relevant than ever.
Barrister Ogunlewe encourage Nigerians to use this occasion as an opportunity for spiritual reflection, to strengthen bonds with one another, and to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity.
“Let us also remember those less fortunate among us and extend our hands in generosity and support, said Ogunlewe
“On behalf of the Kosofe Local Government, I wish you all a blessed Mawlid al-Nabi. May the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) continue to guide us towards a path of righteousness, compassion, and harmony.”
