The Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe has continued with his kind hearted gesture by providing free medical services for senior citizens in the Local Government Area.
The scope of the Mobile medical services provided includes health promotion, Diabetes screening, eye screening, Dental care, blood sugar screening hypertension, amongst others.
Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe stressed that his administration was fully committed to meeting not just the peoples’ health needs, but also the needs of the residents of the Local Government for best healthcare services delivery.
“Our senior citizens are the backbone of this community, and it is our duty to ensure that they enjoy good health in their later years. This Mobile Healthcare Initiative is part of our broader commitment to providing accessible and quality healthcare for all residents.”
Lauding the kind hearted gesture of Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe, beneficiaries commended his initiative, saying, “It’s amazing that they can get these services for free while It means a lot to them as they were attended to free of charge and those that required drugs were also administered to.
The initiative offers essential medical services in various wards, addressing accessibility challenges and promoting healthier living for elderly residents.
Ogunlewe said the program is a response to the growing need for accessible healthcare among the elderly, many of whom struggle with mobility issues and are unable to visit hospitals or health centres regularly. It is also a way of decongesting Primary Health Centres and state facilities catering to the medical needs of residents.
Ogunlewe however encouraged all eligible senior citizens of the Local Government to take advantage of these free health services for healthier living.
