In a proactive effort to mitigate flooding and prevent clogged drainage systems during the rainy season, the Kosofe Local Government, under the able leadership of the Executive Chairman, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, has commenced the desilting and evacuation of drainages and canals across various communities within the council area.
The exercise, which began earlier this week, reaffirms the commitment of the Kosofe Environmental Initiative to promoting environmental sustainability through targeted programs aimed at combating environmental degradation within the local government area.
The desilting activities are being carried out simultaneously across all six political wards of the local government with more than fifteen communities drainages presently being desilted.

*Omoyele Pratt Glory Estate, Ifako

Residents are hereby advised to desist from indiscriminate disposal of waste into drainage channels to prevent blockages and ensure the continued effectiveness of these efforts.
