Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday celebrated the graduation of 5,309 students from the 2024/2025 session of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation’s Skills Acquisition Centres across the state.
The graduates were trained in various skills including aluminum fabrication, welding, carpentry, photography, barbing, catering, hairdressing, bead-making, vulcanizing, hat making, gele styling, and makeup artistry, among others.
According to a statement via the X handle of Sanwo-Olu’s spokesperson, Jubril Gawat, it was stated that since the inception of his administration, over 34,000 individuals have successfully passed through the state’s 19 skills acquisition centres, equipped with practical skills to contribute meaningfully to the economy.
The statement reads: “Governor of Lagos State, Mr #jidesanwoolu today at the Year 2024 Graduates of the Skill Acquisition Centers in Lagos State.
“5,309 students from the 2024/2025 session of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation’s 19 Skills and Acquisition Centres across the State.
“Graduates have been successfully trained in Aluminum fabrication, welding, Carpentry, Photography, Barbing, catering, hairdressing and Bead-making, Vulcanizing and Hat, Hairdressing, Gele and Makeup artistry and many more.
“Under the administration of Mr Governor, Over 34,000 graduates have emerged from the skills acquisition centres across the State.
