President Bola Tinubu has suspended the six-month emergency rule he imposed on Rivers State, therefore reinstating Siminalayi Fubara and Ngozi Odu as the governor and deputy governor of the state, respectively.
This development was made known via a statement issued by the president on Wednesday.
President Tinubu also announced that all suspended House of Assembly members in the state would return to their duties.
According to the statement, all elected officials of Rivers State – governors, deputy governor and Assembly members – will resume tomorrow, Thursday, September 18.
