Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s leadership philosophy is centered on public service, people-centered ideology, and a commitment to excellence.

His administration has been marked by significant growth in revenue inflow, improved infrastructure, and enhanced security.

Since his assumption of office in 2019 as the Lagos State Governor, he has made a tremendous achievement with notable impact on the state and the residents.

Parts of his visible people’s oriented projects include;

-Established the Lagos Security Trust Fund to enhance security in the state

– Spearheaded the development of the Lagos Asset Management Limited (LAGBUS System) to ease public transportation problems

– Commissioned the Oshodi-Abule-Egba BRT Lane and other major infrastructural projects

– Built the Imota Rice Mill, with a production capacity of 2.5 million bags of 50kg rice annually

– Initiated the construction of the 37km 4th Mainland Bridge

– Renovated general hospitals across the state.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s developmental agenda for Lagos State, known as the THEMES agenda, has been instrumental in driving growth and development in the state over the last six years. The THEMES agenda focuses on six strategic areas:

Traffic Management and Transportation
Significant strides have been made in developing traffic infrastructure, including the launch of the Blue Line of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit and the construction of the Opebi-Ojota-Mende bridge. The governor aims to deploy 1,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to reduce emissions and promote sustainable transportation.

Health and Environment
New hospitals and health centers have been established, such as the 80-bed General Hospital at Iyun Road in Aralile Community, Surulere. The administration is also building the largest children’s hospital in West Africa, Massey Street Hospital, and a 500-bed Mental Health hospital in Ketu-Ejinrin Epe.

Education and Technology
The administration has empowered teachers and strengthened their capacity to deliver quality education. Vocational training centers have been established, graduating over 16,000 youths who have acquired skills in various trades.

Making Lagos a 21st Century Economy
Initiatives have been implemented to promote economic growth, including the development of the Lekki International Airport, which is expected to cater to about five million passengers annually. The governor has also launched the Lagos Revenue Portal to enhance revenue collection.

Entertainment and Tourism
The administration has supported the tourism and entertainment industry, laying the foundation for the Lagos Film City, an ecosystem for creative cinematography, tourism, leisure, and learning.

Security and Governance
The governor has prioritized security, establishing the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, which has funded operations of security agencies and provided 300 additional patrol vehicles. The administration has also promoted community policing and security awareness.
