Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday led the groundbreaking ceremony for a new purpose-built headquarters for the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) in Alausa, Ikeja. The facility was fully donated by philanthropist and businessman Sir Kensington Adebutu, founder of Premier Lotto Limited.

The ultra-modern headquarters, slated for completion by October 2026, represents a major milestone in public-private partnerships aimed at strengthening security infrastructure in Nigeria’s commercial capital.

At the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu praised Adebutu’s generous contribution, highlighting it as an example of how collaboration between government and private individuals can enhance peace and safety.

“This project underscores the impact of public-private partnerships in advancing economic growth and security governance,” he said, noting that the new building will provide a permanent institutional home for the LSSTF and improve coordination among security agencies.

Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed that security remains a top priority for his administration and assured residents of continued vigilance, supported by patriots like Adebutu.

The donation follows Adebutu’s pledge during the 19th Annual Town Hall Meeting on Security earlier in December, committing to construct the headquarters within 12 months. The governor called on security chiefs and LSSTF board members to maintain their efforts, adding: “With support from fathers like Adebutu, we will not drop the ball on our primary responsibility of keeping Lagos safe.”
