Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Monday announced a cabinet reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery across key sectors of the state.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

Governor Makinde relieved Olanike Kudirat Adeyemo of her duties as Secretary to the State Government with immediate effect and appointed Musibau Adetunji Babatunde as her replacement.

In another development, Barrister Temilolu Seun Ashamu was redeployed from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

The Governor also nominated Ademola Aderinto, Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, as a commissioner designate. He will be presented to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

In addition, Honourable Abiodun Adedoja was appointed Special Adviser on Energy Security, while Kolawole Elijah Akanmu was named Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.

Governor Makinde urged the newly appointed and redeployed officials to see their appointments as a call to greater service and renewed commitment to the people of Oyo State.
