The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026, and adjusted the dates for its ward congresses and national convention.
The decision was announced in a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, following the 183rd meeting of the National Working Committee held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
According to the statement, the registration exercise, which was initially scheduled to end on January 31, was extended following requests from party stakeholders to allow additional time for members and supporters to register and validate their details.
The party said ward congresses will now hold on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, while the national convention has been fixed for March 27 and 28, 2026.
Osun State, Ekiti State, and the Federal Capital Territory were excluded from the ward congress schedule due to forthcoming elections, while Rivers State was excluded because of the subsisting tenure of its current state executive committee.
Morka also disclosed that a National Convention Planning Committee has been constituted, adding that details of the revised timetable, schedule of activities, and committee composition will be released at a later date.
