The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday inaugurated 20 Local Government Coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, describing the initiative as a grassroots awareness drive rather than a campaign rally.

Speaking at the ceremony in Lagos, Sanwo-Olu said the movement was an activation of like-minded individuals aimed at informing Nigerians about what he described as President Bola Tinubu’s delivery on electoral promises.

He stated that members of the group would engage residents across communities to highlight federal government reforms and programmes.

According to the Governor, the initiative has drawn support from traditional rulers, market leaders, union representatives and religious stakeholders.

Sanwo-Olu said the Tinubu administration had made significant progress, including efforts to reduce the country’s debt burden, stabilise the currency, implement a new minimum wage for workers, and advance infrastructure projects across the six geopolitical zones.

He also cited what he described as easing inflation and a recent reduction in petrol prices, noting that pump prices had declined in recent months.

The Governor urged the coordinators to sustain door-to-door sensitisation efforts, expressing confidence that Nigerians would continue to back the President’s leadership.

He thanked members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in attendance for their support.
