The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has announced plans to arraign the former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i, alongside two other individuals, on multiple charges before both Federal and State High Courts in Kaduna.

In a  statement issued by the Commission through John Okor Odey, Head, Media and Public Communications says  Malam El-Rufa’i and one Joel Adoga will be arraigned before the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Kaduna Judicial Division, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in a case of   alleged conversion and possession of public property, as well as money laundering.

In a related development, a separate charge has also been filed against Malam El-Rufa’i and one Amadu Sule before the Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna Judicial Division, a charge which includes allegations of abuse of office, fraud, intent to commit fraud, and conferring undue advantage.

The Commission disclosed that both charges were filed on March 18, 2026. While the arraignment date for the State High Court matter is yet to be fixed, while it will be communicated in due course as determined by the Court.

The commission  confirmed that Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i has been duly served with the charges.

ICPC Reaffirmed its mandate,  to uphold due process and the rule of law in the prosecution of the cases.
