The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has ordered a major redeployment of senior officers across the Nigeria Police Force as part of efforts to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance leadership capacity, and improve service delivery nationwide.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Okon Placid.

According to the statement, several Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) were assigned to strategic departments and zonal commands. Among them, AIG Ado Emmanuel was posted to Research and Planning at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, while AIG Joseph Eribo was deployed to the Department of Armament. AIG Miller G. Dantawaye was assigned to the Department of Operations, and AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche to the Department of Training and Development.

Others include AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo to Police Accounts and Budget, Force Headquarters, and AIG Dahiru Mohammed to Zone 15, Maiduguri. AIG Dankombo F. Morris was posted to Zone 4, Makurdi; AIG Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina; AIG Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba to Legal Services; AIG Ahmed Musa to Community Policing; AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh to Zone 2, Lagos; AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom to FCID Annex, Lagos; and AIG Haruna Olufemi to the Special Protection Unit, Force Headquarters.

The statement also announced the redeployment of several Commissioners of Police (CPs) to state commands and other strategic units. CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya was posted to Jigawa State Command, CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola to Oyo State Command, CP Yemi John Oyeniyi to Delta State Command, CP Olubode Ojajuni to Ogun State Command, and CP Michael Adegoroye Falade to Ekiti State Command.

Similarly, CP Yakubu Useni Dankaro was deployed to Adamawa State Command, CP Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed to the Federal Capital Territory Command, CP Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai to Lagos State Command, CP Morkwap S. Dongshal to Taraba State Command, CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello to Zamfara State Command, CP Umar Ali Fagge to Katsina State Command, and CP Hayatu Shaffa Hassan to Sokoto State Command.

Other postings include CP Akan Ezima as Director of NPF-NCCC, Abuja; CP Abbas Sule to the Special Protection Unit; CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue to INTERPOL, Abuja; CP Mnwadiogbu Cletus as Deputy Commandant, POLAC; and CP Danjuma I. Yahaya to General Investigation, FCID Annex, Kaduna.

Further deployments saw CP Sheik M. Danko posted to FCID Annex, Lagos; CP Moses Ashu Otta to SWAT, Abuja; CP Abdulrahim A. Shuaibu to Eastern Ports Authority; CP Sarah Ehindero to Administration, FCID, Abuja; CP Edwin Ogbegbghagha to Provost, Force Headquarters; and CP Preye R. Egbe to INEC, Abuja.

Additional postings include CP Adebisi Bola Lateef to Master Printing, Lagos; CP Bolou O. Etete to Community Policing, Research and Planning; CP Ojugbele E. The statement noted that the redeployments are in line with the Force’s commitment to strengthening its command structure and ensuring effective personnel distribution across commands, formations, and departments.

The IGP charged the affected officers to bring their experience to bear in their new roles and to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and service in the discharge of their duties.
