Troops of the Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI have rescued six kidnapped victims and arrested suspected terrorist collaborators.
In a statement by the media information officer operation Hadin Kai Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba says,troops acting on credible intelligence following an air interdiction mission around the Mandara Mountains, successfully rescued the abducted women and children at suspected terrorist crossing point near Amuda on 12 May 2026.
A 3-month-old rescued baby, was among residents of Ngoshe community abducted by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during an attack on the community on 3 March 2026.
Similarly, troops have arrested two suspects in Damaturu, Yobe State,in connection to an earlier operation involving the interception of a suspected ammunition courier,who was apprehended while finalising plans to supply ammunition to terrorists.
