The Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende alongside his dedicated management team from the Ministry of Youth and Social Development had the distinct honor of receiving @JustAdetoun, affectionately known as ‘The Revolutionary Matriarch’ earlier today.

This significant gathering was a swift response to a pressing and deeply distressing situation concerning a 2-year-old boy named Isreal. The young child had been subjected to maltreatment, under the guardianship of Mrs. Victoria, who claimed to have adopted him from an orphanage.

In light of this deeply concerning case, the Commissioner made it unequivocally clear that the ministry has taken custody of the child to ensure his safety and well-being. A comprehensive investigation will be carried out by the Nigerian Police Force regarding the individuals responsible for this distressing situation.

Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende used this occasion to passionately call upon every citizen of Lagos to stand united, to remain vigilant, and to reach out to the Ministry, @lasgmysd, or other relevant authorities to report any instances of heinous acts such as rape, drug abuse, molestation, human trafficking, or maltreatment happening within their neighborhoods.

The Commissioner extended a special commendation to Mrs. Adetoun for her relentless dedication to seeking justice for the innocent child.

He urged every resident of Lagos to raise their voices and make their concerns heard loud and clear. This collective effort is pivotal in ensuring that the Ministry, under his guidance, can respond effectively to the needs of the community. It is a call to action to fulfill our social and moral responsibilities toward our fellow citizens, protecting the most vulnerable among us and upholding justice.
