President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the postings of 31 career and 34 non-career ambassadors/high commissioners to various missions worldwide and the United Nations, following their confirmation by the Senate in December 2025.

– Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau – Beijing, China
– Femi Fani-Kayode – Germany
– Lateef Kayode Are – United States
– Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim – UN Permanent Representative
– Prof. Isaak Folorunso Adewole – Ottawa, Canada
Career ambassadors were assigned to key missions including Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, India, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and others.
The postings aim to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic ties, trade relations, and representation globally. Ambassadors-designate are expected to proceed to their posts after receiving letters of credence.
