The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will begin the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms on Thursday, March 12, for aspirants seeking zonal offices and positions in the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) ahead of its national convention scheduled for March 27 and 28.
According to the party’s adjusted 2026 schedule of nationwide congresses and convention activities, submission of completed expressions of interest and nomination forms will close on Monday, March 16.
The notice, signed by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, states that aspirants for all positions will pay a uniform fee of N100,000 for the expression of interest form.
Aspirants for the office of National Chairman are required to purchase nomination forms at N10 million, while those seeking the positions of Deputy National Chairman and National Secretary will pay N7.5 million each.
Nomination forms for the remaining 21 positions in the National Working Committee are priced at N5 million each, while aspirants for the National Executive Committee (NEC) will purchase forms at N250,000.
Female aspirants, youths and persons living with disabilities are entitled to pay the expression of interest fee and 50 per cent of the stipulated nomination fee for the positions they seek.
The party also fixed March 23 for the inauguration of screening committees for zonal congresses and the national convention, including their respective appeal panels.
Screening of aspirants for the zonal congresses and the national convention will take place on March 24, while zonal congresses are scheduled for March 25 across the six geopolitical zones.
The South-West zonal congress will hold in Ibadan, while the South-East congress will take place in Enugu. The South-South zonal congress will be jointly hosted by Rivers State and Cross River State.
For the northern zones, the North-West congress will hold in Kaduna, while Gombe State and Bauchi State will co-host the North-East congress. Nasarawa State will host the North-Central zonal congress.
Appeals arising from the zonal congresses will be entertained on March 26.
The APC National Convention, where party leaders are expected to emerge, will hold on March 27 and 28 in Abuja.
