Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, on Wednesday visited President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in Lagos as part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a post shared on his official X handle, on Wednesday.
He described the visit as an opportunity to reaffirm the relationship between Lagos State and the Federal Government.

“Together with the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, we visited His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our First Lady, HE Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as part of the Eid el Kabir celebrations,” the governor wrote.
He added that it was always a pleasure to receive the President in Lagos, reiterating his administration’s commitment to national development and the welfare of citizens.
“It is always a pleasure to have the President back home to Lagos, and an opportunity to reaffirm the working relationship between Lagos State and the Federal Government as we remain committed to national progress and the wellbeing of our people,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
Tinubu is currently in Lagos for the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Eid-el-Kabir, also known as Eid al-Adha, is one of the most important festivals in Islam. It commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command.
