Lagos State House of Assembly has recorded its first female clerk when the House officially inaugurated Adenike Abolanle Osinowo since its establishment 47 years ago. 

The Oath of Office and Secrecy administered on Adenike Abolanle Osinowo marks a historical moment as the Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa welcomes the first female Clerk of the Lagos House of Assembly.

Speaker, Obasa says the new clerk is expected to bring to the office, her wealth of experience with deep understanding of legislative governance to strengthen parliamentary administration and advance democratic institutions in Lagos State.

The event had a valedictory session for the immediate past Clerk of the House, Olalekan Onafeko.

Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa described the immediate past Clerk Onafeko as a committed and dedicated Officer who repositioned the workforce to the level of due diligence and utmost dedication to duty.

Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and Head of Service, Bode Agoro were among the dignitaries that witnessed the historical moment at the House of Assembly.
