The All Progressives Congress has disowned Mr. Abayomi Hunye who has gone on self declaration as the Governorship Candidate on the platform of the APC as an impostor and currently running suspension by the Party.
A statement by the party’s national secretary Dr. Ajibola Basiru explains that Abayomi Hunye’s self-
declaration as the Governorship Candidate of the Party for the 2027
election is completely false, unauthorized, and a mischievous act aimed at misleading the public.
It further states Mr. Abayomi Hunye is not a member of the APC in good standing as he was suspended from the Party on April 7th, 2026, following a
petition from his Tube Ward, in Ipokia Local Government Area.
The suspension was not arbitrary but a grassroots decision driven by the
Ward Executives in Tube Ward, ratified by the Ipokia Local Government Area,
and formally approved by the Ogun State Working Committee and copied to INEC. It urges members of the public to disregard his claims.
