The Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State on Friday conferred on Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Seyi Makinde of Oyo and Nyesom Wike of Rivers States with honorary doctorate degrees.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was honoured with Doctor of Public Administration (Honoris Causa), Governor Nyesom Wike and Governor Seyi Makinde were conferred Doctor of Law (Honoris Causa) and Doctor of Science in Engineering (Honoris Causa) respectively.

It was also a memorable day for 34 other graduands who were conferred with Doctor of Philosophy Degree (P.hD) in Mass Communication, English Language, Religious Studies, Business Administration, Computer Science and Economics, the Governor added.

 

In his response Governor Sanwo Olu made it known that he will not relent for the provision of people’s oriented project in Lagos State.

“My sincere appreciation goes to the Vice Chancellor of the Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Prof. Timothy Adebayo, the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of the institution for their recognition of our commitment and service to our dear people and state. We will continue to support the institution and its people, as they render top quality education.”

While congratulating, Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu for the honour bestowed on him, the Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Honourable Mobolaji Ogunlende said that Governor Sanwo Olu laudable performance in Lagos state since 2019 is a track record that has placed the centre of Excellence in the forefront of Nation’s development.
“The giant strides and unparalleled investment in upscaling infrastructural development of Lagos State by Governor Sanwo Olu will continue to moved on with sterling performances in critical infrastructure areas in achieving a greater Lagos during his second term”
Mobolaji therefore called on Lagosians to support the reelection of Governor Sanwo Olu in 2023 Governorship election in Lagos State.
