The Special Adviser to the Lagos state Governor on Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Honourable Mobolaji Ogunlende has urged Lagos residents to use the opportunity of the New Year to promote the virtues of peace, unity, and tolerance.
In a New Year message issued, Honourable Mobolaji enjoined Nigerians to work together to build an inclusive, stable and peaceful society that will be a beacon to other countries in Africa.
Mobolaji noted that ‘’our diversity and complexity can be sources of strength to propel us to achieve our national goals of peace, unity, and prosperity. This New Year presents us another opportunity to restart our effort to accomplish these dreams of our founding fathers.’’
‘’The Year 2023 being the time of the general elections will no doubt be a significant one for our country. I, therefore, appeal to all Nigerians and Lagos state in particular to shun violence and embrace peace and tolerance as we go into the elections.
He used the period to called on the residents of the centre of Excellence, Lagos State to put their trust in Babajide Sanwo-Olu and reelect during the Governorships Election, noting that the All progressives Congress, APC in Lagos state will make a turnaround across the length and breadth of the State.
“Your vote for all the candidates in APC will create another avenue for a better Lagos state of ours, Vote for our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Reelect Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and all other candidates of APC in Lagos state.”
He also made it known that safety of life is paramount to the state government, it is pertinent to note that the present weather condition attract fire and it is the duty of all and sundry in the state to be vigilant and observe safety in any of their establishment.
