Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu hosted Nigerian-British actor, director, and producer David Oyelowo on a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Marina.

In a Thursday post on X, Sanwo-Olu said they had a warm conversation about the creative industry, storytelling, and the opportunities positioning Lagos as a leading hub for talent and innovation.

Sanwo-Olu wrote: “I received Nigerian-British actor, director and producer David Oyelowo on a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Marina.

“We had a warm conversation about the creative industry, storytelling and the opportunities that continue to position Lagos as a leading hub for talent and innovation”.

Oyelowo, known for roles in Selma, Queen of Katwe and Lawmen: Bass Reeves, has been vocal about African stories and global collaboration in film.

The meeting comes as Lagos continues to push initiatives to support filmmakers, music, and digital content creators through funding, infrastructure, and partnerships.
