A 2 story building under construction collapsed again in the early hours of today, Friday 23rd October, 2026, at Akinola Street by Fadeyi Bus Stop, off Ikorodu Road, in Lagos
Report says three persons suspected to be construction workers have been rescue alive by Lagos state emergency response team and a dead body recovered.
The rescued victims received immediate pre-hospital care from the Agency’s paramedics and LASAMBUS before being transferred to the hospital.
Search and rescue operations are still ongoing to ascertain if there are more persons trapped beneath the rubble.
Responders at the scene include LASEMA Response Team, LRU Paramedics, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, LASAMBUS and officers of the Nigeria Police Force from Alagbon Division.
The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained and is expected to be subjected to detailed investigation by relevant regulatory agencies.
