The Director General of the National Sports Commission, Bukola Olopade, has expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness and commitment demonstrated by Lagos State ahead of the maiden National Intermediate Games.
Speaking at the conclusion of a three-day inspection tour, Olopade said the facilities and infrastructure assessed across the state had given the commission confidence that Lagos is fully prepared to host a successful and world-class sporting event.

He noted that the National Intermediate Games is a vital component of the commission’s sports development agenda, aimed at bridging the gap between youth sports and elite competition while creating a sustainable pathway for talent discovery and development.
Olopade also commended the support of Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Government for their commitment to the success of the event.
He said Lagos has a strong reputation for hosting major sporting competitions and expressed confidence that the state would provide an outstanding experience for athletes, officials, and sports enthusiasts.
